With disaster looming over the gulf, neoRhino wishes for all our friends, family and clients to stay safe during Hurricane Harvey.

We’d also like for you to know that our diligence on keeping the backup solutions for all our clients up to date is our highest priority during this potential crisis. If the worst were to happen during Harvey’s tenure, you don’t have to worry about your company’s data as it will be kept safe and business can resume in the fastest way possible.

Here are a few actions you should take prior to Harvey’s touchdown:

  • Unplug any unnecessary devices for the duration of the storm. For devices that need to remain powered on, use a proper surge protector or better yet a battery backup the decrease the chances of your devices being damaged. If possible, have a hand-crank charger ready for smaller devices like cellphones and flashlights.
  • Watch your ISP and cellular providers for outages and updates. Many companies such as Comcast have apps or websites that can alert of outages and potential downtimes. However, times are estimates and power may resume before ISP services are restored so keep that in mind.
  • If possible, make sure you have a good amount of non-perishable items ready, cash in hand and a full tank of gas should you need to evacuate.

You can find more information on how to prepare before a storm or hurricane at the National Weather Service website.

If you need any help keeping your data safe at all, do not hesitate to give us a call at (877) 85-RHINO or (281) 779-4850.
